Tick-Tock Master Clock System

Introduction

Audix Broadcast's TICK-TOCK system provides a highly accurate master clock unit which outputs the converted time information and transmits it to a series of individual clocks through a single two core cable, all the specialised clocks then automatically synchronise themselves to this data and display accurate time.

All clocks are powered down the same cable and do not under normal circumstances require any maintenance. Clock sizes and types "Analogue or Digital" can be chosen to suit the requirements from the wide selection of designs.

The system's time reference is taken from the highly accurate GPS network, local time can be programmed into the system by the masters front panel controls.

Audix Broadcast is a specialist manufacturing based company working in audio products for the radio and television industry, the systems options are at present limited to those required in our industry however the computer interface, control inputs and outputs and battery backup maybe applicable to other commercial areas, eg shopping centres, hospitals, local councils, banks and schools, where highly accurate time display-information is needed.

Master Clock Features

Key points include:-

Options Include:-

TICK-TOCK can for critical applications be fitted with battery standby allowing it to continue in operation in the event of AC mains power failure.

TICK-TOCK has a range of compatible clocks to suit most applications, the standard range includes :-

All clock faces are clear and in many cases can be supplied with back illumination

TICK-TOCK has both GMT time offset facilities allowing systems to be used anywhere in the world together with automatic Daylight Saving - Summer/Winter time shifts.

TICK-TOCK being a master clock system can be supplied with PIPS generators in both analogue and digital audio formats. The generator's audio output format in the pip quantity and spacing can be programmed using our EASYROUTE software suite.

TICK-TOCK has the capabilities of interfacing with external systems, two formats are available, parallel GPI forms of which there are 6 independent 2 way circuits which can be configured using EASYROUTE software, the second format is a computer RS485 serial format giving time information every minute.

TICK-TOCK can also be used as a master clock in digital audio systems, this will allow systems to be synchronised around the world allowing digital linear audio to be transferred in real time through our ATM network.
