Audix Broadcast
Awarded Egyptian Contract
Audix Broadcast have been awarded a contract to refurbish an ERTU
transmitter site at Batra in Egypt with an ARM Audio Routing
Matrix system and associated monitoring and control console. This
is the third such refurbishment undertaken by Audix following
very successful upgrades to two other sites in 1994 — all
three stations having originally been installed by Audix twenty
years earlier in 1974.
The latest (and smallest) refurbishment involves an 16x16 Audix
Broadcast ARM routing matrix combined with a patch bay and a
single rack of line amplifiers and broadcast limiters. All
external lines in and out of the installation are transformer
isolated and feature extensive RF protection. A comprehensive
integrated audio test system is also available at the control
desk.
