ARM
Matrix and Control Systems

The ARM Series of equipment presents flexible,
imaginative and reliable solutions to an expanding broadcast
environment that has become increasingly diverse and cost
conscious.
Audio
Routing Matrices and Controllers
The ARM
series of switching matrices are split into two types and sizes.
The fundamental differences concern the types of switching
element and the control systems employed.

The ARM3000
series is fully solid state and uses a microprocessor based
control system.

Solid
State High Performance Matrix ARM3000
The
ARM33232A Solid State Analogue Audio Matrix provides 32
input to 32 output source switching under instruction from the
ARM3401 Matrix Central Controller Panel. Its inputs and outputs
are individually buffered and electronically balanced to maintain
symmetry.
The ARM33232D Solid State Digital Audio Matrix provides 32
input to 32 output source switching under the same switching and
control format allowing its use in hybrid systems. Input and
outputs are standard AES serial format with transparent
operation.
The ARM3401 Matrix Central Controller panel interfaces with one
or more ARM33232 via a single RS485 control buss allowing
simultaneous switching of separate audio paths. A separate RS485
buss may link the Central Controller panel to several ARM34XX
Slave Controller panels to provide control facilities in a number
of different locations.
Each controller panel is equipped to suit the application. The
colour LCD display shows graphic and text information about all
the sources available, with selection controls for each
destination being associated with an 8 character alphanumeric
display which indicates the source currently selected.

Low
Cost High Performance Matrix ARM3010
The ARM3010
series matrices uses sealed reed relay switching elements and is
controlled either by individual buttons or a X-Y configuration of
illuminated switches.
This smaller low cost high performance matrix with up to 12
stereo inputs to 12 stereo outputs is provided in a
self-contained chassis and implemented using Audix Broadcast CLIC and SMART technologies.
Front panel controls are limited to X-Y type user interfaces with
the status of each system output shown on a separate matrix
status display.
