MONITORING

Each monitor has three independent sub-systems (one stereo loudspeaker and two headphones), with an individual level control. The loudspeaker outputs have CUT/DIM facilities, and component MOSFET power amplifiers may be fitted. Optional power amplifiers may be fitted.

The control of a second monitor can be located in a remote area with an additional microphone provided for studio talkback.

The monitor selectors can be expanded to include station wide sources. Access to these sources is provided by an external matrix controlled from a rotary encoder mounted on the mixer front panel. Selection of up to 96 sources is possible with identification shown on an alphanumeric display.

The pictures shown in this section are of the ADD5000 standard system, but designs for all our consoles vary with requirements. Input selection may range from 2 sources to 40 sources and monitor outputs from a single mono to 12 stereo outputs each carrying different signals with different types of PFL, Talkback or Public Address injections/ mixes or overides. The ADD mixers accommodate customer's monitoring requirements in the power EASYMIX scripting configuration software

METERING

Bar graph metering is offered as standard, supporting two separate stereo displays each with graduated colour bands to give adequate warning of overloading. In addition each input channel has a dedicated peak level led indicator.

Specialised metering facilities may also be supplied.

The larger desks may be supplied with up to 4 stereo PPM bargraph displays and the system is capable of being configured to provide the traditional BBC M/S and S+20 type controls and displays.

Very large desks can have the central meter - routing panels replaced with Flat Screen TFT displays. These would have graphic designs to meet the requirement and automatically be locked into the companies ANTS IT based computer control network system, providing even greater levels of integration and control.
